“This is a lovely little pub the grounds are well kept but unfortunately our bathroom was extremely damp and the smell was unbearable, we called reception and they came and sprayed in there but there was definitely an underlying issue going on as there was a big damp patch on the ceiling, there was also lots of cobwebs in the bedroom, the shower had very little power, the good points are the carpet was lovely and soft, the tv had a good signal, there was a mini fridge and tea & coffee making...

“The staff are very helpful and parking behind pub very good. . Food to a high standard. Room was very comfortable with a large shower as requested. I am unable to use a bath so requested a shower due to my lack of mobility. The room had tea and coffee facilities and towels, robes and slippers BUT the bed, although comfortable, was extremely low. Apparently all the beds are the same height according to a member of staff. It caused a real problem in the night as I had to wake my husband twice...

“Great accommodation. Lovely , quiet room that was air conditioned. Lovely to have drinks in the fridge and L’Occtane toiletries. Great choice for breakfast and lovely staff . Would highly recommend and visit again .”

“L'hotel è nella media di quelli delle piccole cittadine inglesi. Struttura un po' datata, ma complessivamente accettabile. Il personale alla reception desk era simpatico e il checkin è stato veloce e tranquillo”

“Nice location close to Colchester town centre along with a decent gym, swimming pool and sauna all inclusive along with free parking. However the cleanliness good be improved as we found hair on our duvet and the room looked like it needed hoovering.”
