“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

“Brilliant hotel, well thought throughout, unfortunately wasn’t any parking onsite due to being full, but 5 mins away plenty of space, only negative ordered nachos (was expecting homemade) not the crisps.. other then that bang on will be back for sure! Photo was view from my room! ”

“A short two night stay. We have stayed here half a dozen times over many years. The buildings are beautiful 17th Century and the decor is sympathetic to the period. Food is a good standard they have an AA Rosette. Quiet location and enthusiastic staff. We strongly recommend it!”
