“Hampton Inns are our go to hotels. Always clean, courteous staff and good breakfasts. The location of this Hampton had a bit of traffic noise because of the busy road in front of it. If our room would have been in the back of the hotel, I’m sure the noise level would have been much less. ”

“Very friendly staff, especially the front desk and breakfast attendant. The hotel was very clean. The renovation was very well done. The room did not smell. There was shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion provided by the hotel. Only real complaint was that the lotion was a little watery (in comparison to the same brand at their Virginia/Norfolk location where we stayed at the day after). Breakfast was very good. No cold cuts; just bread and pastry items, cereals, and two options for waffles...

“First time staying at The Colonies and we will definitely stay again next time we’re in Williamsburg. The property is nicely located near the outlets, supermarkets, and restaurants. The pools are great, just the right size to keep an eye on the little ones. And the rooms are spacious and clean, albeit dated. “The kids enjoyed the indoor pool because it rained. I like that the attractions where close to the hotel and they had free snacks. My grandkids enjoyed the park and movie theater that where close by. The hotel is family friendly, and staff always greet with a smile every time I visit.”

“Great vacation property for the price. The suites are huge and well appointed. The parking is great. Right at your building. Check in was crowded and the pool was crowded too. The grounds need some work. Over all, we loved it. Very comfortable!!”

“Checking in was easy and fast. However with no food available, none of the vending machines worked neither the ice machines. That forced us to purchase snacks in the lobby which were very expensive. The $32 charge for using a debit/credit card is outrageous. We are forced to use cards. ”

“They gave me a room not in livable conditions and caused me to get asthma atacks. It was moldy and humid. And they didn't care. Customer service is not thier priority. After complaining to them the manager tried to kick me out. And acused me of bieng disrespectful, just because i complained. They are still renting that room like that. General manager Mina Guiruis does not prioritize customer service. ”

“We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed.
