Whiskey Creek Cottage is located in the Silver Lake area right on Lake Michigan and just steps down to the private beach frontage. This Private Lake Michigan frontage vacation rental provides a peaceful setting for your entire family. There are two homes on the property, a Lake Front home and the guest home which sits behind the Lake Front home. This rental includes both homes and can occupy 18 guests. This vacation home is minutes away from all of your favorite things to do!

A total of 7 bedrooms, 4 in the front home and 3 in the back home. The lake front home features 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom features a queen bed, bedroom #3 has a twin bed and bedroom #4 has two twins over full bunk beds. There is also a TV in the bunk room for entertainment and a large deck with gas grill for beautiful views of the lake. The back home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed with full bath connected bedroom #2 has two twin beds and bedroom #3 has a queen bed. There is also a sleeper sofa on the porch of the second cottage for additional sleeping! There are 70 steps down to the beach. This property does not have air conditioning. This is a pet friendly home!

Silver Lake is located in Mears, Michigan and offers shorelines along Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the massive Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer. Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail that will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab breakfast at Cherry Point, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at Golden Sands, a small, family-owned restaurant and golf course that will leave a lasting impression. Plan on spending a day with your family at Michigan's Adventure for a day of action and excitement. Lucky for you, all of this is just minutes away and waiting for your family to create lasting memories.

Awesome beach getaway

Everything about this property is great! So close to the beach, cozy, rustic atmosphere, tons is space for large gatherings. Only downside is the internet is very slow and there’s almost no cell reception for Verizon, but I’m staying at the beach to unplug, not stream movies, so it was great.

Family reunion

I appreciate an honest description! This home exceeded our expectations. The pictures were spot on and did not make the home look larger than it was. It might even be roomier! Good advice to bring fans even though our weather was perfect it was nice for sleeping. We loved the separate homes for our large family giving us plenty of room. The grill was the only thing that didn’t work.

Perfect weekend escape

Nice lakeview house hidden under trees. It has everything for comfortable stay, clean and very nice looking. Big deck with grill and table and enought chairs to stay outside. Lots of parking. Stairs to the beach adds some fitness activies to that long weekend lazy time. And as usual lake Michigan is awesome. We will be back for sure!

Batchlors trip

Very clean property with Plenty of amenities. The fire pit by the beach was huge hit and just being able to go down to water whenever you want was excellent. We had a few people in our group go for a dip although the temperature of the water was quite cold so it was more of a polar plunge. Great way to wake up in the morning though. Only things that would have been nice additions would have been faster internet, and some shampoo and toilet paper. all in all it was an amazing stay and nice way to enjoy my brothers Batchlors party.

One of the best views and location

My cousins and I had a great time last weekend. The property especially the backyard view was very beautiful. The only suggestion I have though is to make sure to disclose the dog fees and how many dogs they can bring on the listing and the agreement(s) we need to read and fill out after booking the property. Internet was slow as well, so don’t expect to watch videos uninterrupted. The heater was also not working in the living room, but the property manager sent someone to fix it right away. Overall, we had a great time and would love to come back especially if it is available for summer.

Spacious well maintained cabin with wonderful privacy!

The cabin was more spacious than the pictures showed for sure! There was plenty of room for our three families to spread out in the home and dine at tables. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and glassware. There was only the basic sheets, one thin white towel and then cover blanket for the bed. It was chilly at night in the spring and it would have been nice to have more blankets. We only saw one fan, so I would pack more of those in the summer. The towels were bare minimum and we were glad we brought beach towels from home as well as a solid pile of dish towels to use. The steps to the beach were sturdy and cleared well, though plenty of poison ivy nearby on the bluff to watch for later in the summer. The grandparents have old knees but made the trek up all the flights many times with the sturdy hand rails and rest benches along the way. Beach was pretty quiet despite the neighboring public park. The place was as clean as you could expect for a dog friendly beach cabin. We washed some of the chair covers to brighten it up a touch. Wifi, cable and appliances worked nicely. No cell service on any of the carriers which was lovely!
