Convenient location, very close to subway lines that take you to Manhattan in just a few minutes. Clean property with everything you need. A supermarket and diner are just a few steps away, with other restaurants nearby. The only downside: the nearby subway can be noisy — if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs

Day 1: Can't even enter the building til 4 PM checkin time. Access code does not work. Got to my room it was absolutely filthy - piles of dirty dishes, dirty sheets in a pile on the bed. Found a housekeeper, who just kept repeating "room not ready". There was another customer there in tge same situation. Finally a managerial type shows up, and we get moved to different (clean) rooms. Fine. Day 2: Try to get back in my room after being out. Code does not work. Got hung up on 4 times by the phone people in Syracuse controlling things. Finally got the door access code working. Turned out they didn't transfer my entire reservation to the new room when they moved me. Unfortunately, the elevator code was not updating. They kept telling me to use the (nonexistent) other elevator. Finally they told me to take the stairs. 5 flights. I will be trying to get my money back. Also, they lied about having WIFI. They tried to blame it on Spectrum, but a Spectrum network outage does not make routers in a hotel completely disappear.

I had a very disappointing experience staying here. I booked this property expecting basic amenities and a comfortable stay, but unfortunately that was not the case. The biggest issue was the no WiFi. There was an ongoing outage that made it impossible to use the internet during my stay. This caused major inconvenience, especially since I needed WiFi for work and personal responsibilities. I reached out about this issue, but the resolution provided was minimal compared to the impact it had on my stay. In addition, communication was inconsistent and unclear. Important information about the outage and overall situation was not properly communicated ahead of time, which made things more frustrating. While the space itself was okay, the overall experience did not match the price paid. For what I spent, I expected a much smoother and more professional experience. I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed, especially if you rely on WiFi.

The check-in process was terrible. They have no one available to assist you if any issues arise—such as a problem with the Wi-Fi—and when we needed towels, there was absolutely no way to get anyone to help us. They really ought to have someone stationed at the building entrance; the whole experience was truly awful. I arrived in New York at 11:00 PM and wasn't finally able to complete the check-in until 2:00 AM. I’m sorry, but you really need to change your system. The only redeeming qualities were the neighborhood and the studio itself.

Rooms are large but the check in process is terrible. Internet service was down and no one is available to fix it, no cleaning service offered for the entirety of stay. The location is perfect though so if you’re willing to compromise on everything else it’s not that bad.

There was no WiFi for all of the money we paid to stay here, it’s like a rinky-dinky hotel seem as if it was an apartment building turned into a hotel. Towels and wash cloths had stains, stains on floor. Numerous pieces of hair in the shower floor walls etc. wear and tear all in the bathroom shower walls, ceiling, if you look closely in the corners it was not clean and dusty. The coffee pot seemed to be cleaned until you lifted it up and the entire bottom was dirty with the counter dirty underneath it. This was last minute so it was on me but for the price I payed I expected more! One plus is it’s right next to the subway station!

I would never ever stay at a place where you cannot have someone onsite to solve issues. If it wasnt for Expedia helping us out. Our anniversary trip would have been ruined. The property listed that you would get a code 24 hours in advance never happened. Had issues getting in though we did get a hold to get that done. It took 45 minutes into the room. There was garbage outside the hotel and garbage inside.. They did clear it an hour later. Our room though initially clean . Our bathroom shower curtain rod fell my husband had to reset it himself.. But the piece de resistance is the shower flooding and calling their customer service and they never called back . Never sent someone to help. My husband and i spent hours cleaning up water wringing out towels and to make it workable to sleep overnight. If it wasnt for Expedia helping us out. God Bless expedia we would have been at a loss . Do not stay here .

Das Appartement hat der Beschreibung vollkommen entsprochen. Tolle Aussicht vom bequemen Bett, die Lage ist für einen Städtetrip sehr empfehlenswert, da die U-Bahn-Haltestelle, ein sehr leckeres 24/7-Diner und ein Supermarkt direkt gegenüber liegen. Leider war der Check-in katastrophal, da wir nach 14 stündiger Anreise auf der Straße noch mit einem kaum verständlichen Mitarbeiter telefonieren mussten, um den Zugangsdaten zu erhalten. Diese wurden nämlich nicht per Email übermittelt, abwohl wir vorab mehrfach angefragt und darauf hingewiesen hatten. Handtuchwechsel hat in 10 Tagen nicht stattgefunden. Sonst waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

An incredible location and we were fortunate enough to have a view of the Manhattan skyline. Stayed with our 4 year old and the grandparents. Plenty of room for all in the 2 bedroom apartment. In unit laundry appreciated. And so close the Court Square station which made our trips to Manhattan and Brooklyn super easy. Trader Joe’s around the corner for groceries. Some city noise if that bothers you. Some other guests had trouble with their codes getting in. And we used the luggage lockers at check out for a couple of hours but our code had expired when we came back to get them. Other than that, a really wonderful stay.

I requested early check in more than two weeks in advance and was only notified the morning of my flight into NYC that my request would not be accommodated and that I wouldn't receive an email with my check in information until 4 pm, which I ended up never receiving at all and I had to call to get checked in, in the end I didn't get checked into my room until after 6PM. The check in and check out process is remote and completely separate from any on-site staff. As for the room itself, it was nice, clean, and pretty much as shown online.

We stayed at Court Square Hotel (Sonder) in New York from March 14 to March 21, 2026 as a family of two adults and one child. The hotel’s best feature is its location. It is extremely close to the Court Square subway station, making it very easy to get around the city. There are also good markets and restaurants nearby. However, several issues affected our stay. We were initially given the wrong room after a long journey. Although we requested a refund for this inconvenience, the hotel did not accept it. Communication was also difficult, as it was hard to understand the operator on the phone. In terms of comfort, the bedding setup was unusual. Instead of a proper duvet cover, the duvet was placed between two flat sheets, which made sleeping uncomfortable. We requested a duvet cover, but this was not provided. Additionally, no housekeeping service was offered during our stay. In summary, while the location is excellent, the service and overall comfort need improvement.

The property itself is excellent. Check-In at the location is odd if you have reserved via Expedia. When you get to the property there is nobody to greet you or check you in. There is a paper on the door directing you to contact the Hotel Customer Service for an access code to the building and to your room.
