I had been there with friends a few years ago and remembered a good experience. Going back with my girlfriend confirmed my recollections.
The room is not huge, but you'll have a hard time finding something that big in Manhattan. This time we were on the ground floor, and while we sometimes heard some of the talking by people getting into the hotel, I can't say it was noisy. Actually, given its location in lower Manhattan (I prefer it to being in the heart of NYC), I'd say it's the quietest hotel I have experienced in the city.
Breakfast is included, with some choice (we liked this, as we could then immediately start touring the city). The place is small, but we were able to find seating every morning.
