Very good hotel, but not in a great position.
My hotel experience was very positive. The staff was nice and helped out for everything we asked. The room was clean and in a good status. Ther server has a useful shuttle service (for free!) that takes you to the staten island ferry, but if you need to move around in staten island, the position in bad. The hotel itself is near a bad neighbourhood, and it's served by just one bus, which I wouldn't board on night. If you just plan to go manhattan and/or don't mind spending money on cabs for anything else around the hotel, it's perfect!
