“There wasn't a bar or a fridge in the room. However the hotel was very accommodating to your requests. This is a historical property it's quaint and beautiful without the glitz and glamour of a modern day hotel.”

“During the day you can see staff working hard to maintain the property—they are all very polite and helpful. A special thanks to Maria for her help! The lake is peaceful and a serene view. Parking is super easy and my room was cleaned well! The only feedback I have is to offer more than just tea/coffee and travel size boxes cereal for breakfast options—there are no options except for choosing the kind of cereal you’d like. Other than that, I’d return with the expectation that breakfast there is...

“For the price it was, it was exactly what i expected. everything was kind of clean for the most part BUT, there were hairs on the pillows and bed. Miscellaneous spots on the sheets and on the shower curtain. The bathroom sink hot water nob was completely broke. I turned it on and it fell off.. it seems they just throw it back on and call it a day. some of the “ clean “ towels had spots on them, only a few not all. Overall, our stay was a 5/10. Beach is close and so is food spots that’s a plus....

“The photos listed online do not really show the room size. I checked in and got to the room and demanded a refund. It’s gross and unpleasant. I left the hotel and was only there for 5minutes. I’m still waiting on my refund.”

“Everything was awesome. Pool, breakfast and room. Toilet stopped working though but front desk fixed it for us quickly!”

“I have exactly zero complaints! I stayed for a week and received excellent service! Room, furniture, and bathroom were clean. Fresh sheets and towels. Air conditioning was great! Great price! Great location! I was at the boardwalk in under a minute. Peace and quiet. All the staff were very nice and pleasant. Well mannered. How are you, do you need anything, good morning, good afternoon, good night, please and thank you, have a good day. I’m definitely booking again in the future!”

“Nice/friendly staff. Nice amenities. The bathroom in our room wasn’t very clean. Overall stay was fine.”

“Everything was easy to use and the location was great, the walls are thin so the upstairs guest kept us up for a lot of the night running around.”

“Clean property. Only downside was they did not clean the room or bring new towels. We had to go get get them ourselves upon arriving back to the hotel.”

“I’ve stayed here a couple times. I really only stay when I know I am going to be in OC for a night. Not the biggest fan that you have to pay for parking but the staff is incredibly nice and the rooms are clean. Still plan on staying here in the future on short trips”

“Clean room”

“Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was clean, Hotel was clean. We didn’t use the pool because we came for the beach but from my view from the room the pool also looked clean and well kept. The location of the hotel was perfect, just one block from the boardwalk. Check in was fast and seamless. Front desk was friendly. This was first time in Ocean City and most definitely will come back and will stay at the Gateway!”

“Rooms were good, I think our room was being renovated. I did have to go to the front desk for a hair dryer. And the pool was not accessible at the time.”
