Broken mixer tap on hot tub which made adjusting water temperature impossible ( no cold water to cool it down). The shower head was well past needing replacement .
Street appeal was mared by a dirty old mattress out front .

Il motel dista 1,5 km dal centro ma a pochissima distanza si trovano due supermercati e vari fast food e pizzerie. La piscina è piccola ma pulita, il Wi-Fi un po’ lento, ma i pregi turistici della zona di Whangārei (kiwi museum specialmente) fanno soprassedere a trascurabili piccoli difetti”

“The staff was nice and tried hard to please. But the motel property and it's location though were not ideal.
The room we had was very dated, the carpet needs a good clean or wash, the toilet has a layer of light brown on the bottom, the noises from the road outside kept us awake late night and early in the morning.
We were rather disappointed. ”

“My stay started out perfectly great — everything lovely. The owners were super-friendly at check‑in, and everything seemed lovely. I was going through a rough time, checked out early, and accidentally left a few things behind, including the key. When I came back the next day, they’d kindly packed everything into a bag for me. “We got in to Whangarei late, and after a little bit of a challenge trying to find the entrance, we found the front desk. From there our experience was great.
