“I stayed on the beachside property this time. No renovations on this side, opposed to Mia's buildings across the street. Tiny unit. Cramped bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Unit was clean inside.”

“Breakfast was great, coffee was cool at first day but the attendant made fresh for the dispenser. The beds were really hard, I wished it was a better bed like the one I stayed in night before in Germantown MD, a Hilton property also, but the carpet in room was smelly, and some tending needed a bit more care, the hallway had ball of hair entire visit, so never vacuumed for 3 days. ”

“Loved the breakfast, room was clean although a little beat up. Beach view was from the side window and not front view from a balcony. This is how the hotel was built. Over all, we would stay again. ”

“Old school property. Right on the beach. Very quiet even though cars are parked right by rooms. People are quiet around you. Management is on property 24 hours a day. Beds are comfortable and shower is hot. Very clean property. Staff was friendly. Near all the good restaurants. Close to everything”

“They did a great job renovating the Tar Heel motel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Bring K-cups with you if you are a big coffee drinker and don’t pack heavy. This is the best of old school Outer Banks, reminds me of when my parents would take us to OBX in the 70’s staying at the Beacon.”
