As always, a delightful hotel with great staff and fabulous food, we love going there.

Quiet, out of the way

This is a lovely, modern hotel with excellent service. The only negative is that it is not within walking distance of the town of Padstow. If you are looking to be away from it all, this is the place to stay. Very quiet and comfortable.

Quiet and quality

This hotel is perfect if you play golf as is beside a golf course and a short 5 min walk to beach . Great breakfasts

a) Afternoon tea was not, in fact, afternoon tea. Please advertise it as Tea and cakes instead. b) Room balcony/patio was untidy and seats not good c) Breakfast was not a four star experience at all, maybe one star!!!!!!!! For example I asked for two eggs but I was given one. I asked for two sausages but I was given one. Breakfast was given without bread/toast. Other four star hotels put bread available people help themselves and those who wish to toast do so individually. c) Lunch and Dinner menu extremely limited hence we chose to eat out. d) The staff were excellent in there dealings with people though! This was a great bonus since the hotel in itself appeared to be a one star hotel. e) The outside grounds and space were excellent. f) I would love to return but I must be assured of serious changes!

A quiet retreat

Lovely location - rooms a little dated and bathroom rather small. However, the friendliness of the staff make up for any inadequacies and they are only to happy to provide anything they can to make the stay more enjoyable. The food is good and they have one of the best Vegetarian menus I have seen anywhere !

mediocre not great

Average hotel with excellent breakfast and pretty location close to beach but too far from Padstow. Pool too small. Nothing special about hotel when there are so many better options for price. We were looking for hotel close to Padstow but it took 20 minutes of driving on small windy roads to get there.

Lovely

Lovely with beautiful views in a fantastic location for beach and headland walks and golf. But would ve loved to been able to choose own breakfast table!

Two night break in Cornwall

Location was close to beautiful beach and Padstow. Hotel was nice but expected fridge and slippers for a four star hotel at the prices we paid. Room was very hot, although it was a very hot period of June and air conditioning would have been welcoming. Shower over bath was in a very confined alcove. Breakfast was good and staff helpful.

Nice hotel, albeit a little dated, close to beach

The hotel is in a fantastic location, walking distance to the many beaches and the golf club. The hotel itself is a little dated, the showers were problematic when we stayed going from hot to cold. Room sizes are generous and everywhere is kept spotlessly clean. The front of house staff are fantastic and really helpful, however the dining room staff are young and incompetent - 40 minute wait for smoked salmon and poached eggs and had to chase order 3 times! Spa is a nice bonus to have on site, highly recommend having a massage! Overall, I would recommend the hotel because of the location and value for money.

Clean, wonderful hotel near Constantine Bay

We had a lovely stay at Treglos over the weekend. A short walk to the beach, beautiful ocean view, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Would definitely return!

What a lovely setting for a hotel!

Fairly last minute birthday treat - easy journey (no airports!!) and what a lovely setting. Got to Watergate Bay in good time for one of the most fabulous sunsets possible - strongly recommend it as being one of the finest beaches anywhere.

Bliss by Constantine bay

Fantastic location only 600m walk to the beach. Hotel was immaculate and fresh fruit and cooked breakfast I would love to stay here again Highly recommended

Three day stay

Lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful. There are some great walks along the beach and a super place to relax. The big downside was no air conditioning and despite booking 6 months ago got a small room over the kitchen with all the associated noise of staff leaving, extractor fans and boiler noise.

Lovely location, just a short walk to the beach.

Welcoming staff and good location. Room tired and dated and bunk beds for the children were really wobbly and space for them cramped and dark. Ended up taking the top mattress off and placing on the floor. No alternative room offered despite reporting fault. Restaurant meal lovely, fairly pricey. Pool way too hot. Location makes the stay worthwhile.

Nice public areas

We booked this hotel as we assumed that the weather would not be kind to us for the whole visit and we wanted someplace that had nice common areas where we could spend time if stuck in the hotel. As it happened we had lovely weather for all 4 days and spent most of our time out and about in Cornwall. But the room was spacious and comfortable and well furnished. The dinner the first night (the only one we had in the hotel) and the breakfasts were excellent.

Stuck in the 1980's

This is a typical English holiday hotel, over priced, stuck in the 80's with rules for everything, surviving in business only because its near the sea. Is it run by Basil Fawlty? The sign in the dinning room says: No shorts, no flip flops, no scruffy jeans. I honestly expected Basil's classic: No riff raff! Breakfast the 1st day we asked for coffee in the lounge area..they wanted to charge for it! Next day we went down for breakfast at 10:10 No, breakfast finishes at 10! The restaurant is dismally poor. My wife had plaice which was barely edible, over cooked, the skin had gone gloopy, it might have made perfect wall paper paste. I had the lamb, it didn't taste like lamb, it might be mutton but it didn't taste like that either, very disappointing. You will make a mistake booking the dinner, bed and breakfast option your stuck eating here. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming which was the exact opposite for the restaurant team which were abysmal. The room was clean, not bad, the bathroom had a hideous wooden arch surround over the bath! Where did they get that from? Did Basil get Manuel to make it with his new jig saw! The bedroom door was a house front door surplus 1960's! I am amazed that in this day and age sea side holiday hotels still get away with this standard of accommodation. Surely as a nation we have to wise up to this and go some where else that represents value for money. We are English, we don't complain. Just pay up but we won't be back!
