“We have just had a great holiday in the lakes. The house was in a brilliant location just a couple of minutes into the centre but far enough away to be peaceful.There was everything we needed in the house and it was clean throughout. The pool next door is a huge plus and the view is absolutely stunning.If I had to make any criticism it would be that the blinds need some attention but it didn't impede our stay at all.Thank you for hosting us ”

“Booked this via VRBO and was forwarded to Hereward Cottages. Upon booking we were under the impression we had 4 bedrooms to use as we pleased - however, we were told (pretty rudely via email) the 4th bedroom was only suitable for children (even though the beds would have easily held a fully grown adult on the bottom bunk). We'd also booked two dogs but didn't check this at time of booking, again, being told pretty rudely 'they would have to check' this was ok (it was btw!).All in all the actual...

“Great week in Grasmere with ten of us comfortably accommodated in this house. A few minutes walk from the centre of Grasmere with its cafes, pubs and restaurants and on the doorstep of some stunning Lakes hikes and bike rides. Highly recommend bbq and drinks in the beautiful gardens as the sun goes down. Fabulous Lake District experience.”
