“Worst place I’ve ever stayed!!!”

“We stayed in the main building. We were on the 3rd floor. The hall ways are warm but the rooms were very cool- good ac. Breakfast was easy, plentiful and food. Staff was helpful when needed. There appears to be some renovations , but it didn’t effect our stay.”

“Minimal staff. Food left in fridge from other guests. Half a roll of paper in the washroom. The breakfast was good and included. Staff at front desk was helpful and responsive.”

“Great location. Staff is very nice. A short walk to the casino/races. Shuttle is available but we’ve never used it. We’ve stayed here multiple times-always a great experience.”

“Our host, Olga, made our experience an excellent one. It is a beautiful home and well maintained. Even though the house was fully booked with other guests, everyone was respectful. Olga makes great breakfast, which we love.”

“Kara was rude upon questioning why my card was charged prior to arrival. Room smelled like mildew. No coffee at breakfast...jug empty at 9am. Overall bad experience, definitely will seek other options next time around.”

“It's a Red Roof, so I don't expect frills. Room was clean. The AC unit in our room kept cool but didn't seem to pull the humidity out. Fridge was handy, the breakfast very limited. Only gripe I have really is the center door, which is supposed to be secure, was not operational. So anyone could gain access to the building.”

“My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this uber quaint inn. Super clean. Convenient location. Spacious room. Very peaceful. Superb restaurant right next door. Yummy, professionally prepared breakfast to die for. Friendly staff. We are retired seniors. We stayed here in June 2026 on our way to Gettysburg, Annapolis, Mt. Vernon & DC.”

“This was an excellent stay despite of the fact I have a mobility problem and our room was 40+ steps above. Unique place and the people I met there were friendly and kind. If you're lucky enough to run into JeanMarie outside weeding, make sure you ask her questions about this area, she's local and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our 2nd luck was seeing Chef Kashiff. Never expected that level of frienliness - we were beyond charmed by his story. Don't forget to make the 3 course dinner...
