“Convenient place, near the airport. St. John’s is not a large city so driving anywhere from the house is about a 10 to 15 minute drive at most. A few critiques about the place are: 1/ lots of closet space but there are no dressers or shelves if you want to lay out your clothes. 2/the owner asks that prior to leaving that all towels are placed in the hamper, in the laundry room, and that you load any dishes into the dishwasher and turn the dishwasher on. That’s fine, no problem with that....

“We love character in homes.. Leaside Manor has kept the residence as close to original as possible. The history is amazing, the staff was very helpful.. breakfast service and quality of food was 5 star. We were exhausted after a long day of travel and the comfort of our room allowed us to replenish and get ready for our next journey!”

“For a house with 12 rooms to serve, there was not enough staff available to tend to the hotel; they directed their attention to the restaurant on the ground level and ignored the hotel guests. We didn’t have Internet connection and had to call 3 times (leaving a detailed voicemail twice) before getting someone live, an hour and a half after my initial call and coincidentally when the restaurant patrons were gone. The explanation I got was they don’t have a big enough server for everyone....
