However, wherever you turn, you notice little things . . . a loose shower handle, exposed nuts/bolts at the base of the toilet, etc. Simple maintenance issues that differentiate a down-at-the-heels hotel from a good property. As for room service, we never broke the code on which days our room might be made up. Better hotels tell you what you might expect at check-in. We were then given a room on the first floor. The facility was clean enough. This is a budget establishment, and you get what you pay for.”

The location is near ISU campus and nice shops and restaurants at easy walking distance. Parking is inconvenient being in a ramp across the street. “The phone lines were down, so when I tried to call for service, I ended up having to go down to the lobby to ask how to use the shower. The person at the front desk was very professional and very helpful.”
