“Unique place on a beautiful property. So peaceful with an amazing view of the lake. A bit confused at first about the seperate suites. We would definitely like to come back and spend more time exploring the area.”

“This was an amazing hotel. This was our first time staying here, and we will be life long guest. Our son is in the army and stationed at Fort Riley, a quick 26 min drive from this hotel. “The shampoo and conditioner bottles mounted in the shower were empty! The thermostat was it working in our room! There were homeless people hanging out at the side entrance we used to get to our room! I will not stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone!”

“Billing was incorrect and has not been corrected as of July 5. Expedia charge was for a total of room plus fees/taxes, and Parkwood charged fees/taxes on top of that Expedia total.”

“The property was undergoing renovations, but still managed to be clean. Al of the amenities were still accessible. Our double queen room was very spacious. Overall it was a pleasant experience that made our weekend trip much more delightful.”

“The staff (night clerk) was very cordial and well mannered. He even dug out a charging cord for my old flip phone that I had unintentionally left at home and also computed a map to a friend's address in Manhattan so I could find his home.”

“Easy to get to. Staff was just fine. I had no need outside of check in. The gentleman who checked me in was a little snobby. Didn’t use any of the amenities so I can’t comment on those. Room was clean. The desk in the room looked like it was about to collapse. Dated and needs some repairs. Parking is almost all paid. $10 a night covered or open air. Sucks but is what it is. “The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean too they just need to wipe walls as they were dirty and there were buggers on the wall. The breakfast was okay they had sausage, biscuits and other items. Overall I would stay here again.”

“Tim, our host, was friendly, knowledgeable and generous with his time. We very much enjoyed the tour of his beautiful home and garden. The candlelight breakfast complete with champagne flutes was truly memorable. We would absolutely stay here again.”

“The room was in very good condition. It looks as though it had been redone. However, parts not replaced showed wear. Rust on towel holder, drawers and doors on cabinet did not close. The outside looked dated too with chipping paint and rust on metal. Overall, however, it was a nice hotel.”
