“Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.”

“Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. ”

“Our stay at Beach Rd Bed and Breakfast was amazing! The house is perfectly located across from the beach which provided amazing sunrise and sunset views! The Corolla room had a perfect private balcony and was the best spot for a short beach trip with my dog. The owners left out snacks for breakfast and happy hour which was the sweetest touch! A 10/10 experience!! ”

“The room was large; the mini fridge was stocked (water was free) and snacks from the box were reasonably priced. It had a huge closet and big full-length mirror. The shower was lovely. There was a fenced in back yard for our dog and she was allowed to roam free. A happy hour included a free beer or wine. Coffee and tea were available 24/7. This place had every bell and whistle, even 2 moveable mirrors for hair and make-up. The bedroom had a nice round table for writing, laptop, playing...

Angie and Chris are very helpful with recommendations of where to go in the Wilmington area and are wonderful just to talk to being lifelong residents in the Wilmington area. So many stories 😀 Cannot recommend their B&B enough as we had a magnificent weekend staying in their beautiful home!”
