“When we showed up they did not have a room for us, they were “double booked”. They said it was the second time that happened that day. Location is great but I’d recommend calling the hotel directly instead of booking through an app if you want to stay here. Staff was helpful in trying to find a room somewhere else, however it was far from the main road where we wanted so had to walk with our bags to find a walk in room elsewhere. “We didn’t know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised by this wonderful inn. We were warmly welcomed by Gail upon arrival and shown around the property after registering us. Our room, the common areas - lounge and pantry - and the outdoor spaces were very clean and well maintained. Our bed was comfortable and the linen smelled fresh. “We have stayed at the Oban for many years. Our room was small but clean. Pillows need a review as huge and not easy to sleep on. The front gardens beautiful. One staff member very sweet.
