Hotel a Rices Landing

“We have stayed here once before on our travels to visit family, but this will be our last time. The room was visibly dirty—the bathroom floor was dirty and hadn’t been swept or mopped, there was dust collecting on the lamps and table, the sheets were barely on the bed, and we found a moldy incense stick stuck on the ac vent. My husband and I both found the bed to be uncomfortable. Breakfast was decent for a hotel breakfast, though there wasn’t any water available other than hot water for tea....

“I had quite a long stay and all was good. The hotel is not luxurious but it’s clean and the staff is GREAT. Always in a good mood and available. Would stay there again for sure. ”

“Clean and well maintained. Central heat and AC not reliable. Room temperature varies. Use your ear plugs because of noisey highway. Trees behind the lodge need cutting to prevent roof noise. Microwave and mid-sized refrigerator in room. Cable TV worked great. The bed was comfortable. No extras except soap and towels provided. Low price lodging, not luxury. ”

“Tiny, very old room. Blankets had cigarette burns in them. Springs could be felt in the mattress. This place has not been kept up at all.”

“We chose this motel because their website states that the location is a 12 minute walk from the West Virginia University baseball stadium. That is a blatant LIE. You actually CANNOT walk safely to the stadium, and it takes at least 10 minutes (if there is no traffic) to drive there. Expedia needs to force this motel to change the information on their website or remove them from their suggested motels in Morgantown,”
