“In an old mining town founded in 1793. So much history going back to the French and Indian wars, the American Revolution. This friendly clean and sweet hotel sits right next to the Youghiogheny River. Down a little road in this old town when you think this “can’t be right”…you find a very nice space, a restaurant next door also overlooking the river is a good place to catch football games and the beer and food is also good. “Very clean. Lovely natural cedar smell in the room that complimented the rustic mountain decor. There’s also a good deli and corner store right up the street that has fresh rotisserie chickens if they aren’t sold out. They are great deal and delicious. ”

“Absolutely outstanding stay. The hilltop location is special and the view looking east in the morning is breathtaking and peaceful. The room was spotless and comfortable, and everything felt well cared for. Breakfast was amazing with great variety and quality and easily one of the highlights of the stay. Staff was welcoming and professional, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a scenic and comfortable...

“The room was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Although the bathroom was what you would expect at this price range, the shower was excellent: fast, hot water, a shower head that provides the right amount of water and pressure; and the shower curtain bowed outwards for more room to move around. Overall, way above average for the price!”
