“Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. Comfy bed, every amenity laid on, crispy linen and a boiling hot shower. Sadly the pub no longer serves food other than...

“Bedrooms clean and comfortable but no food of any kind available. As a place for a town centre overnight stay OK but that’s about it.”

“Our stay was not the best. Dirty cups in room, no milk, very hot room. Asked for a fan which we did receive but it was broken. On a having a shower the head of the shower flew off and hit me. Food basic, at breakfast poached eggs were hard and u only got half a slice of bread. The staff were good, and when i made a complaint i did get my money back. Overall i would never stay here agsin.”

“Lovely room. The staff are brilliant and go above and beyond to help. Very well mannered and a pleasure to talk to. This was our second stay and definitely won't be out last. We stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary weekend and it was great. Room spotless and amazing staff. Very happy ”

“L'hotel non era male ma il mio letto sembrava essere stato sistemato con le lenzuola usate e tra l'altro non riboccate sui piedi ma arruffate... sulla moquette qualcosa di appuntito mi ha punto il piede. L'area piscina poi in Italia sarebbe stata chiusa per condizioni igieniche non descrivibili. Jacuzzi non funzionante, coperta con un telo, sauna annacquata con sporco galleggiante, piscina piccola e non limpida, spogliatoi e docce con molto sporco a terra... insomma un porcile! mi spiace ma...
