“A man, who I never even gave my name to, came up the stairs, barefooted, and only after I had to call him from the front desk…and said “here’s your key” & walked away. We did get in late, around 2:30 am. He then called our room and had my husband get out of bed, to go pay a pet fee that wasn’t mentioned to us, nor were any amenities or instruction given upon “check in” (I.e. when the barefooted man handed a room key to a stranger) The pillows smelled like an un showered person had been sleeping...

“Why are breakfasts so terrible in the USA? This hotel was no different to any other, but by comparison to almost any other country they are woefully lacking.”

“The curtains in the rooms do not close, leaving a thin white transparent curtain open at all times of the day and night. We were on the first floor facing the parking lot. Every headlight would shine directly onto us all night. Even without headlights.. the parking lot lights were too bright through the windows for us to sleep well.”

“We got a suite and it was nice. The breakfast was good but not as good as years ago, with no omelets or hash browns any more . But it's free so I can't complain too much. Pool area is still beautiful but I miss the hot tub. I like that it's walking distance to Whiskey Creek, one of my favorite restaurants. I've been going there for 45 years, through different ownerships and still enjoy it.”

“I was on the road from Salt Lake to St Louis and after driving 12 hours I just wanted a clean place to lie down with some heat and quiet. Great price. The manager, probably the owner, upgraded my room. Yes, it's an older building with older facilities and I don't recommend the orange juice, but it's more than enough for a Frugal Traveler.”

“The lobby was fantastic! Pool table, Foosball table, an arcade. So much fun. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. Our room was enormous with home like amenities.”
