Kalmya Farm Retreat by Tiny Away is located in the peaceful rural countryside of Runnymede, QLD 4615. The nearest rural town is Nanango, just a 15-minute drive away, where you’ll find an IGA store for your essentials. For dining options, head to Drayton Street in Nanango, where you'll find a variety of restaurants, cafés, and bistros.
The farm stay sits on a gentle hill with open views, where wallabies roam freely, echidnas occasionally pass through, and colorful parrots often visit, with special seed provided to attract them. Enjoy the peace and quiet, with no traffic or city lights—just clear starry night skies here at Runnymede’s holiday homes.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

Join the excitement at the “Nanango Country Music Muster in September”, a popular event attracting visitors from all over Australia. In October, enjoy Waterhole Rocks—a lively rock & roll festival in partnership with the Nanango Car Club, complete with live music and vintage cars on display.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and the rest of the 20-acre property.
Kindly note that the host’s home is also on the property but is fully fenced, gated, and entirely separate from the guest area to ensure your privacy.

Kalmya Farm Retreat by Tiny Away is located in Runnymede, QLD 4615. The nearest rural town is Nanango, just a 15-minute drive away. Depending on the route and traffic, it’s around a 2 to 3-hour drive from Brisbane.
Nearby attractions include the scenic Bunya Mountains, known for their panoramic views, charming cafés, and monthly markets. Visit Pottique Lavender Farm for coffee, light meals, and a unique gift shop featuring lavender products. For outdoor fun, BP Dam offers water sports, fishing, BBQ facilities, and family-friendly swimming in a beautiful park-like setting.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 30 mins (25 km) from Kingaroy
- 20 mins (20 km) from Nanango
- 3 hours’ drive from Brisbane
- 3.5 hours’ drive from Gold Coast
- 2.5 hours’ drive from Sunshine Coast.
All Accessible with 2WD except in extreme rain events. Remember to always check the weather.
By public transport: We recommed guests to travel with their private vehicle.
Other Things to Note:
- Gas BBQ grill is available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Self-catering and Child-friendly accommodation
- Rainwater can be collected for free and used as drinking water
- No smoking allowed inside the tiny home, except in the designated fire pit area
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows, and doors when leaving
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Mobile reception is good for Telstra and Optus, Vodafone has a weak signal, and others have no coverage.
Important note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
