“The log cabin lodge is run by Sasaki San and his mum. Lovely people. The place was clean and very quiet. All we heard were the birds and great view of the lake. Sunset made the island shine and a rainbow to appear. Since the cabin is surrounded by nature, just keep the insect screens in place when the verandah doors are open and all is good. “A bit outside of the center of Grand Hirafu village but easily walkable. You have to go uphill a bit to get to the resort. The property itself is beautiful. Ideal for 6 or 7 guests (3 couples). Full kitchen but without salt/oil/spices so brine no your own if you plan to cook. Tsubara Tsubara right next door if you want amazing Japanese curry. Staff drive us back to the Chitose bus pickup on checkout. Would stay again if traveling with a small group. ”
