Cottage a Rye

“Clean and warm cottage in the center of town, very quirky but a nice environment, it is on one of the few roads running through Rye so does suffer from some traffic noise although not too intrusive. Everything was in order on our arrival so all in all a nice place to stay. ”

“Clean, everything you need, walking distance to beach, nice and quiet. Would be 5 star except sofa smells, plant overgrown on entrance to property and back door very stiff and hard to lock. Lovely little estate of pretty houses”

“Perfect accommodation for a quiet country getaway, with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower & generally very well equipped, clean & maintained to a high standard. We liked the pretty garden. Were slightly concerned on arrival that it appeared to be in the middle of nowhere but were impressed to discover the excellent Jempsons superstore nearby which has lots of local produce & everything you could possibly need. “Really quirky, interesting property, ideally situated for all the great shops and eateries in Rye. Host was brilliant and provided all the information in an easily accessible format. Beds were comfy. Bathroom really clean. Nice outdoor area for warmer weather. Only downsides were that the main bedroom smelt of damp, the kettle could do with a descale, and the road noise made it tricky to sleep without interruption. Overall, we liked it and it had lots of mod cons including a juicing machine!”

“We enjoyed our short break in excellent accommodation, which was perfect for our needs. Clearly a lot of thought had gone in to the accommodation and everything had been finished to a high standard. We would certainly stay there again if we are in the area and would recommend to anyone who is visiting East Sussex, an perfect base for many local National Trust places.”
