My wife and I had previously been to the property about 25 years ago and was a little surprised by the lack of upkeep and level of service. Upon arriving at check-in time, we were met with a closed office and a note to call the posted number for assistance. Upon calling, I got a voicemail and we were left to wonder how long we'd be there before someone showed up to check us in. A few moments later we were called back and given a code to access a lock box to get the key to our room. Upon entering the room, it did not live up to the photos on the website and we were greeted with a musty dusty smell that reminded us of grandma's attic. While the furnishing were fine and the bed comfortable, the carpet was worn and looked very dated. But oh well, at least the room was big and the bed was comfortable. The next day, we explored the town and the beach and returned to our room to find that it had not been serviced at all. Again, not a soul around and the office remained closed with the same note from the day before to call for assistance. I called yet again and got the voicemail again. A few minutes later, I got a returned call and the rep seemed surprised that our room had not been cleaned. She said she'd send someone over right away to provide us with some clean towels. about a half an hour later later, a maid stopped and started cleaning the room while we were sitting on the bed. Not the best experience. If you are fine with air bnb experience, then this might be 4u
