“When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. “From approximately 8 PM until around 10:30 PM, we heard doors slamming multiple times, as well as large groups of unsupervised children running through the hallway. We called the front desk a few times, and we were told that our room was next to weighted doors on public bathrooms and conference rooms. The hotel staff told us they could not “police everyone.” The next morning, we were woke up from the same door slamming before 6 AM. When we spoke with the front desk staff again this morning,...

“The Ankeny Diner delayed breakfast opening until 9am because of Father's day brunch. There were no signs or notices, and according to another guest the front desk clerk didn't even know about it, nobody at the hotel was made aware of "no breakfast" ahead of time.”

“The property changed our reserved room without notification. Once we were checked in and saw the room and brought it to their attention, then they offered a discount.”

“We stayed at Econo Lodge in room 228 for one night and the room has BED BUGS! Once we realised that , we contacted the hotel but the staff was not helpful at all. We were told that the rooms are clean and that we were supposed to let them know at the time of stay (which was 1 night in our case). I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially in room 228.”
