We booked the Nubian village very last minute (the day before!), and got a pretty good all inclusive deal for our family of four. It's close to the airport, so an easy transfer was appreciated as we arrived quite late in the evening. The next morning after arrival, we requested and got a slightly bigger and quieter room overlooking the pool, without too much hassle. Our experience of all the staff we came into contact with, reception, cleaner & waiting staff to be extremely courteous and helpful. There was a choice of only two restaurants for the all inclusive element, the main one in the hotel, which had a fairly good selection of food available, although it got very busy, so if you got there too late as we did a number of times, you would have to sit at the tables outside which was quite uncomfortable in the heat, even for dinner. Didn't really rate the Italian restaurant which you had to book and pre order your meal, it was all a bit pretend Italian ie the mozzarella was like the cheese the main restaurant was serving (not very nice), although the fresh pizzas were good and kept the kids happy. The main pool was a good size, waterslides ok, although there was always a bun fight to get your towels on the loungers and reserve your spot. The best bit of the resort for us, was at the private beach area, where at the end of a wooden jetty you could snorkel along a fabulous coral wall & drop off in clear warm water - the kids loved it & we saw dolphins passing & a turtle.
Pro: A good all round family friendly hotel, snorkelling off the beach at the other end of the resort, snacks & drinks available 24/7 at hotel bar.
Contro: The wall between our bedroom area and bathroom had a large window with a broken blind for privacy, not very nice. Free wifi always a bonus.
Città: A decent selection of shops opposite, w/o too much hassle. Cleo water park was ok and not too far. Hard rock café up the road expensive, but a treat.
