“My partner and I came here for our 4 year anniversary with our Westie, Stanley. Overall, we cannot fault the place! The room we had was lovely and spacious, the food was beautiful and the staff were all extremely accommodating and helpful, especially to our Stanley. Stanley has thoroughly enjoyed his stay and has been spoilt rotten by the staff! We cannot thank you all enough for how welcome and comfortable you made us feel! We've already rebooked for my birthday in December 😊”

“Ho apprezzato molto il thè e il caffè istantaneo che ho trovato in camera. Il personale è abbastanza gentile, inizialmente ho avuto problemi con il mio pessimo inglese (e mi sono sentita a disagio) ma siamo riusciti a risolvere.”

“In an attempt to avoid travelling in the heat, we arrived very early. The staff were very welcoming and were happy to provide drinks. We decided to stay for lunch and were not disappointed with the food. Steaks being cooked to perfection, with desserts of sticky toffee pudding and brownie being to die for! When we did get to go to our room, we found it more than adequate, very clean and tea/coffee making facilities and a mini fridge to store our own goodies. There was ample wardrobe space...

“Regular visitor. Always clean, friendly staff, lovely rooms and great food. Only minor criticism would be that there is typically only one staff member on breakfast/check-out which can mean a few minutes waiting, but other than that, an excellent place to stay !”

“I witness the entire complex being built from the ground up, also attended various functions through the years but this was my first accommodation visit. I was very impressed about the clean,quietness of the room despite having shops and a very busy road outside. I would definately recommend including breakfast. I was spoil for choise. All the staffs at different levels were very professional and accommodating. Try it for yourself. You too will want to visit again”

“Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good. ”

“Lovely Breakfast, Friendly and Helpful Staff, Beautiful and Spacious Apartment, Easy Parking, Brilliant View especially from the roof terrace, perfect location to visit the museum. Only downsides were the rather firm bed and checkout is at 10am and cost £50 for an extra 2 hours! ”

“The owners were exceptionally friendly, lovely views from accommodation, and quiet, breakfast was individually cooked and accommodated our food preferences. Would certainly stay there again and recommend to friends and family.”

“Mike and Julie, the hosts, would go out of their way for you, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were great, a good choice from the buffet, and the cooked breakfast, plenty of options - delicious! My husband and I will certainly be going back, providing his health allows.
