“Pros- great location , easy parking , pool , folks are fairly updated , coffee maker , hairdryer , bath products provided, bed was comfy , lots of pillows. Cons- You can hear everything from the room above you, even someone zipping a zipper. Ask for an upstairs room. No info provided on hours of bar , people at the front desk , etc. shower doesn't have a curtain , just a clear liner , so hopefully nobody needs to use the toilet if someone is in the shower . “The fireplace worked,but the jet spa didn't, the blinds need replacing & the other window was above the tub,so hard to get to. The mattress was so old & lumpy, I hardly got any sleep, the lazy boy chair didn't stay extended. The Location was great, the area was serene & quaint. Accessible to downtown & restos.”

“The hottub was really the sweet spot, cabin was nice overall, the a/c and airflow sucked, had difficulty sleeping due to lack of airflow and it being hot, big bear is a little packed and overrated, not much to do. Good if you want a weekend getaway, not much else.”

“The view of the lake and the location near the lake was phenomenal. We got to sit and watch the sun rise and set near the water. The room was roomy and clean.”

“The rooms were clean but could be updated. The walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbors in the next room. The staff were very friendly. If you are looking for an affordable room I would recommend this place. It’s not fancy but it was good for the trip.”

“Nice place, shabby sheek very clean, big screen TV. Big windows you can open, no central air but room has a ceiling fan and small rolling air conditioner. There is also a super cute retro fridge/freezer stocked with cold drinks and a small microwave. Beware there is no 24 hour attendant on site. We locked ourselves out and waited 15 minutes for someone to come back to the premises to let us back in. Also, no hot water for showers; otherwise, nice accommodations.”

“GOOD: 1st, location is in the Village / 2nd, the lobby is quite impressive and pleasing / 3rd, the restaurant attached is pretty good / 4th, the room was very nice, with a little balcony. BAD: 1st, we have stayed in many places in Big Bear and most do not have air conditioning BUT all of them list that on their websites; not Holiday Inn, and being international and most of us that have visited one, they are air conditioned, so the assumption is this one is too.
