“We drove 2 days to get to The Best western in Plattsburgh, NY. We got to the hotel at 2 pm.and asked to check in. The clerk told us check in time was 4 pm. We told him that we had traveled from Georgia. He told us that if we wanted to check in early there would be a $25.00 fee. We have arrived at other hotels before scheduled check in times and have been accommodated. By telling us that we could check in early for a fee let us know that there were rooms ready and by arriving early the customer...

“Charlotte at the front desk and the good coffee was the best part of our stay. Checkin time is at 3:00 but our room was not ready. We never got check in until 6:00 without any compensation for our troubles. There were 2 other couples who could not get check in because the rooms had not been cleaned yet and there were no clean towels! She called the manager, James Ballard and he would not even come in to help with the problem!!! The room had missing lamp shades, cracked window blinds, and dirty...

“This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. When we arrived, the entire hotel had a strong odor of marijuana. Our first set of room keys didn't work, so we had to return to the front desk to have them reprogrammed before we could even enter our room. Once inside, we discovered that we had been given a room with one king bed, even though our reservation was for two double beds to accommodate three adults. As we were leaving the room to notify the front desk about the incorrect room...

“There were couple of spiders crawling on the ceiling and towels were not fresh / clean.”

“The hotel is still quite new, so everything is in great shape (although our sink drain was dripping, maintenance fixed it promptly). Comfortable beds, nice breakfast options for a reasonable price, good fitness room. Staff was friendly and helpful.”

“The bathroom was very small and dark. No hooks to hang clothing while showering. Otherwise very nice.”

“The check-in was in a different building. Odd but it worked. On 2nd floor with no elevator. Room was good size. Decent bathroom, small fridge. Beds and pillows were good. Saw indoor pool but did not use. Bfast was good with waffles and a couple hot items. Great location off Highway. Would stay again.”
