“This hotel is far past its prime, but still a nice and convenient place to stay in Mt. Crested Butte. There was a loud air duct in the bathroom that couldn't be turned off and only one window that opened, but otherwise was comfortable. I wish that the breakfast (which is very expensive) had more gluten free options--there was almost nothing I could eat. ”

“The Lodge at Mountaineer Square is a fantastic place to stay in Crested Butte. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the mountain. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the beds were super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day outdoors. “Not a new cookie cutter hotel, but an authentic carefully managed property with a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the comfort of the lobby where you can use your hotel room card to purchase a glass of wine or a 2 oz shot of booze. The name may be nordic, but I would call it Bavarian. The door in the bathroom was solid wood and the ceiling was wood. The breakfast room was thoughfully organized and the free breakfast was about as good as you can get without a cook.

“Love the owner/manager and staff. They made our stay feel very special. Food options available in town or on the mountain. Breakfast was more than continental which suits an active vacation. Bed was super comfortable. Take a fan or two if you are staying in the summer. Many mountain town properties are not air conditioned. ”

“It was a good stay. Friendly and useful staff at the front desk.
Overall, the room was great.
The bottom floor entrances need some maintenance and cleaning. I am glad i was staying in the second floor.”
