“I had no issue with the property as we didn't stay there. We tried to book the property via the Hotel website for a date in June but there was no availability. However, the web site said that rooms were available via Expedia. I clicked on the link assuming that the dates we had already selected would carry accross. We booked a room in the Hotel through Expedia. We received a confirmation email and noted that the date booked was that day not the June date. We tried to call the number shown...

“One of the best locations on the Gold Coast. The managers were excellent to deal with and made our stay most enjoyable. The views from our apartment were magnificent and the property had fantastic amenities. We would highly recommend The Waterford to anyone wanting a self contained apartment centrally located on the Gold Coast. We will be back.”

“The check-in process after hours needs to be improved. We were locked out and the after hours wall phone in between the two automatic doors was dead. All of the light switches gave substantial electric shocks to my wife and I. Overall the unit is showing every part of its 50+ year age, including the bedroom doorknob that came off while attempting to use the bathroom in the middle of the night (along with most towel rails etc loose). Bedroom fan very noisey, keeping us up through the night....

“We booked Studio Apartment with Harbour View. We were offered what would be best described as an apartment that was in a corridor, with a corridor view. Absolutely terrible room. At the reception, the staff said that they did not have any Harbour view rooms...then told us yes they found one. Well the one they gave us was not a harbour view room at all. The room was what would be described as a pool access room, and when we went outside, the sliding door fell of its hinges. This needs to be...

“Fully renovated rooms above the bar and bistro in the centre of town. Parking at rear could be a problem but we snared the last spot at the time on arrival. Staff were most helpful and changed our allicated riom to the rear and not above the bar. Most appreciated. Good use of space in rooms with kitchenette facilities including stovetop hotplates but no utensils for their use. Good ensuite space. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great bar and bistro downstairs for an easy relaxing evening.”
