Welcome to Harbourview Galley, our bright & cozy ground-level apartment in the heart of downtown St. John’s. Just steps from George Street, the city’s best restaurants, cafés, pubs, and waterfront walks, this space is perfectly positioned for guests who want to experience the city like a local.

The Fall is a special season here in St. John's - we have beautiful colours, crisp weather and walking is still quite doable for those who like to go up and down hills :) Always the case in downtown St. John's regardless of season.

We are mere steps away from The Rooms (our own museum/ coffee shop/ restaurant) which arguably has the most spectacular view of all the city; Autumn here is simply breathtaking in beauty.

While staying with us, step outside to your own private harbour-view patio, where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks watching the boats come and go. Seasonal bistro seating and casual outdoor furniture make it easy to linger and unwind.

The apartment is thoughtfully equipped for comfort, including a bedroom A/C unit to keep things cool during warm summer months — ideal for extended stays.

The space is ideal for one or two guests, with the flexibility to accommodate up to four using the living-room sofa bed. There is no extra charge for up to four guests at Harbourview Galley.

The living area features harbour views, a private balcony, and a relaxed coastal-modern style that feels calm and inviting. Amenities include:

• Gas fireplace with remote
• Large ceiling fan with remote

The bedroom includes a Queen-size bed, a comfortable reading chair, storage for personal belongings, and a large window overlooking St. John’s harbour — a peaceful place to wake up and wind down.

The four-piece bathroom is stocked with towels and basic toiletries. All linens are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for longer stays, with a full-size fridge and stove, microwave, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to prepare meals at home.

The apartment comfortably accommodates up to four guests. While the space is not child-proofed, families are welcome provided children are supervised at all times. A crib, a pack n play variety, will be available upon request; please request this in advance of your stay.

A short drive away is:

* Signal Hill featuring iconic Cabot Tower

* Quidi Vidi Village with hiking trails, eating and sightseeing attractions; some are seasonal (like cod jigging with 'QV Charters')

* The Rooms, as mention, our iconic museum/ shop/ restaurant with best views of the city (5 minute walk uphill)

* The Postmasters Bakery, simply superb (7 minute walk uphill)

* Coffee Matters and more, are all within easy walking distance or a short drive from your home away from home.

Harbourview Galley area is home to many unique individuals and visitors. Keep in mind that this downtown location is part of a lively, vibrant city with all the energy and downtown city atmosphere that comes with it.

St. John’s is widely regarded as safe, especially compared to larger urban centers, but as in any downtown area, it's wise to stay aware of your surroundings—particularly at night or on busy streets like George Street.

Use common sense; lock doors at all times, avoid isolated areas after dark and enjoy the city’s dynamic charm with joy and confidence.

At times, finding rental cars in the city may be difficult. We recommend the app Turo for your rental car needs :)

You have free parking for 1 vehicle available to you during your stay. You may park on either side of the street. The parking pass is located just inside your entry door, on the wall to your right. This must be returned at end of stay to avoid a necessary 100$ replacement fee.

Guests should purchase their own VRBO Travel Protection insurance for their stay or for in the case of emergency cancelation. We do honour our clearly stated cancelation policy.

Guests must provide a government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license) to confirm their identity upon booking.

Should a booking occur longer than 28 days, a standard local tenant agreement must be signed, as well as agreed upon security deposit to be held for the duration of stay.

Legalese: The Guest and any of their guests hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Owner and Property Manager against all claims of personal injury or property damage or loss arising from the use of the premises regardless of the nature of the incident, injury, or loss. The Guest expressly recognizes that any insurance for property damage or loss which the Owner may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of the Guest.
