Hotel vicino a Stadio del Baseball Davenport Field - Charlottesville

“This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. It is on a cu-de-sac with other houses. It is very close to restaurants, the Corner, and the downtown mall. “So despite its name, this is not a hotel. It is definitely a motel and that is how it should be filtered on Expedia. Parking was annoying- Expedia description states that there is a parking garage with which the motel has a relationship and this was not available on our visit so we had to find parking in a busy area. Also, a freight train line runs behind this property which is quite loud. There is also a bar nearby that is quite loud at night. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. ...

“The woman whom was probably a manager was terrific. Overheard our needs and made them happen right away. 2nd time we stayed there and we would come back again. ”

“Great amenities. Enjoyed the spa, steam room, bar,falcon class, hiking trails and more. I was surprised the heated pools were open in February next time I'm bringing my bathing suit for some winter swimming. Our room was in the 700 building overlooking the lake. It did have a mini fridge that was a nice surprise. It didn't have elevator so conceige kindly carried my luggage up the stairs to the second floor. Our room did have an updated bathroom and a small outdoor balcony overlooking the lake....

“Clean facility, friendly staff. It was a five minute walk to the historic downtown mall. Parking on site had plenty of room. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in downtown Charlottesville. ”

“The breakfast was great. Lots of variety. Also had light supper offered Monday-Wednesday which was helpful. Would stay there again ”

“Stayed 4 nights, housekeeping never entered the room. Had to buy our own toilet tissue. Towels were damp and musty by checkout. No lighting in the rear parking lot. Many transient construction workers hanging in the parking lot drinking beer. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Probably will not stay again.”
