“We stayed here on a Car Club weekend with a large party of friends including an annual dinner. Although the staff were helpful and tried their best to provide a good service, there were too few of them; especially on the Sunday evening. Apparently, there were only 5 out of 25 staff that should have been on duty meaning there was no housekeeping (therefore rooms not serviced) and the kitchen, bar and waiting staff were hard pressed to keep up with demand. “An older property, but well maintained and fully functional. 1st floor rooms had sloping ceiling which impacted space a little. Adjacent to a very popular BBQ restaurant, which meant busy car parking area. Hotel on a lake with long walks possible on paved walkways, complete with abundant aquatic fowl to watch.”

“Booking in at reception was very easy and the receptionist ( Caroline .. I think !) was warm Welcoming and very friendly, explained everything and made sure we knew who to contact with any problems. We were on the top floor the room was clean tidy and all amenities worked good supply of tea and coffee and a full size kettle, iron and ironing board and proper hairdryer .. rooms are a little tired and the carpet could do with a good clean but the bedding was spotless and the bed very...
