“I didn’t have power my whole stay”

“Our stay was not pleasant at all. There was a thunderstorm passing by and the power went out and it was not restored until Friday late afternoon. Our night was very uncomfortable with no rest at all, because there was no power to run the AC and the windows don’t even open to get fresh air into the room throughout the night or morning, nor able to take a shower. This was not how we wanted to spend our time in Chicago.”

“This place is rundown dirty. The lobby smells the minute you walk in. We had to leave the same night, we couldn't stay because there were bugs. It was a terrible experience and we had to get a room somewhere else in the middle of night.”

“I knew we were in trouble when I saw the carpet in the hallway. In the room the floor was sticky. Every step in the room we could hear our shoes peeling off of the floor. The shower was dirty. I had to wear crocs in there. The baseboards were filthy. There were streaks of varying colors on the walls. It had a heavy, sour/sweet weird smoky smell. We asked if we could move rooms but we couldn’t until the next day. I will say the towels were clean and plentiful. The female staff were friendly and...

“The place was very clean and the room was very comfortable and easy to relax in. I felt safe there and was able to not worry about being rushed out. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.”

“So I called to inform Rafael that we had a travel delay and would arrive between 3-6AM. We arrived at the hotel only to be informed that he THOUGHT I said I would be there around 3 and my room had been canceled! He offered NO sympathy/empathy/or resolution!”

“This was our first time in Chicago. My sister and I saw this Best Western as a convenient choice for the Pokemon GO! Fest of 2026. Wow, what a beautiful building! Very safe too. The lot is lit so brightly and is next to a small banquet hall so we weren’t scared about coming back to the room very late. The room was beautiful; comfy sheets, updated TV and nice amenities. The staff were so friendly to us upon check-in and held our bags both at check-in and check-out so we could go explore the city...
