A touch of Paradise on Strawberry Island. Please enjoy a unique west coast experience calmly resting on our float home just a quick boat ride across from downtown Tofino. Rustic, fully furnished accommodations with all the comforts of home but the feeling of the wilderness all around you. Float home studio with queen, bunk and hide a bed & full bath. Complimentary boat taxi provided by hosts for our guests. BBQ, Stove, Fridge and fully stocked with everything you need. Super cute cottage on the water with views of the water and mountains out of every window. Brought our kayak over and kayaked right from the cottage! Saw seals and eagles. Bed was comfy and thencottage had everything we needed. Bonus! The owner's daughter delivered pizza to our door for us! Downside: if you aren't a water activity person it might not suit you to depend on getting rides to town for whatever you want to do each day. For us it was perfect!

If you are looking for a unique adventure on the water, this is for you. We were 3 sisters visiting Tofino for a couple of days. Communication with the host was great. Accommodation is as pictured, a very large, comfy, one room floating houseboat - one of a collection of houseboats off Strawberry Island. We enjoyed sitting on the dock for sunset cocktails. There is also a viewing portal cut out of the living floor to watch the fish and other aquatic life below.You are very close to shore with a good vantage point to watch boating activity, and wildlife. Hosts are experienced boaters and very accommodating with shuttle over to the mainland. You can find everything there for your stay; grocery store, liquor stores, restaurants, shops, museums, art galleries. We visited the Roy Henry Vickers Gallery; a very peaceful, beautiful showcase for his fine art.Of note: The houseboat sits off Strawberry Island which is also home to the retired NorVan Ferry. The ferry was hauled out of the water and now sits nestled on the shore. Pretty awesone to see it perched there.

It was an incredible experience to stay on the water with unbelievable views! The cabin’s cosy feel was a perfect way to end our day of exploring tofino. The 4 min boat ride to and from the main land was a wonder on it’s own, with the most spectacular landscape.

This is such a magical place, from fishing off the front porch to watching jelly fish swim by the porthole all night, this property has it all. It was a chilly March but Pearl kept us stocked with extra blankets and propane for the heater. It is so cozy and warm that you forget you are in a float house. Pearl was very easy to arrange rides to/from the harbour and you can feel the sense of community all around you. 10/10 we will be back!

This is certainly a paradise on water with a cozy feel that is legendary. There is quite a history with the family that owns Strawberry Island. Our host Pearl was so friendly and accommodating. She is definitely an island professional with stellar boating skills. With our family of 5; 3 kids under 12 years old and a chocolate lab, this place was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped, but when we were there the oven didn't work. It didn't matter to us because we only used the stove-top. There were a variety of fun games, including cribbage and battleship. The viewing hole on the floor was a hit with the kids. Every morning and evening as part of our bed time routine, we would look down into the water and watch a few small fish swim by. There is a good working heater that heats up the place quickly and adequately, but be mindful of the propane tank levels. Waking up on the water is just a beautiful experience. We even saw a harbour seal right outside a few feet away from our window. Various wildlife everywhere, this place truly was exceptional.

Recommend! Everything was exactly as stated and shown. Property was very clean, linens/towels were good quality bed was very comfortable.The property manager was so helpful and accommodating. Many opportunities for extra activities through the property manager.

Pearl and her amazing cabin on the water village are two of the best things in Tofino.It's a true authentic Tofino experience. Rustic but clean.Pearl was super helpful and was quick to respond to our text messages. A local gem! Could have stayed for a month.

The location of this stay was incredible, beds were comfy and host was friendly. Communication was good once we arrived but questions beforehand got a bit muddled. There is no free parking in tofino.The oven did not work. If you want to have more than one return trip to the island per day you have to pay extra. We used BBQ, looked at the stars and you could see the bioluminescent at night which was amazing We loved our stay in this basic but fantastically located accomadation.
