Lovely place but sadly not a good stay
The place itself is lovely owners very pleasent sadly our stay was ruined by our neighbours who had yapping dogs and seem to love late night DIY with a bit of early morning knocking up a few wardrobes for good measure we had to leave early as couldnt get no sleep to be yapped at by there dogs again as we was walking up and down the stairs with our luggage fuming!!

Fantastic stay at Chelston Dene; apartments are clean and well catered for. The hosts were friendly and the apartment was well equipped. They had compiled an information book of things to do and places to eat with maps of the local area

Very friendly hosts, great little apartment, quiet of an evening, which was brilliant as staying with a young granddaughter. Close to train station, less than 5 minutes walk, beach walk in under 10 minutes, great for buses and trains, can't rate this property highly enough, will definitely use again if in the area.

Overall good place to stay
Clean and convenient accommodation for a family of four plus a dog. The lady who owns the place was very friendly. The only downside is that you have to rent towels or take your own, but other than that, all other amenities were there. Overall a good place to stay.

Just what we needed
We stayed in apartment 10 for 4 nights in July to visit family who live locally. The studio room had everything we needed, the kitchen area was well equipped and the bed was comfortable.

Good roomy studio apartment.patio doors straight onto lovely garden good quality garden furniture.nice and quiet.close to everything.nice little welcome pack on arrival.wish we had booked sn extra night as it was so nice it was hard to leave after such a short stay.we will definitely book again when visiting family in paignton

I stayed at this property from 4th to 6th Dec 2022 and loved every minute of it. The place is clean and the owners are really friendly. Can't fault anything about this place and would highly recommend it.

You can take your dog!
We found the property clean and conveniently situated. Although the room was not large, it had everything required for self-catering. Being dog friendly was a real advantage.

Everything that you need for a self-catering break
The apartment was spotless which was very much appreciated especially in these time of Covid awareness. The welcome beverages were most welcome. The kitchen had everything that we needed and it was nice to have a garden apartment because we had our dog with us. The off-street parking was a plus. I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent location minutes from the seafront and restaurants. Good spacious apartment for what the wife and I needed it for. Friendly owners. Could not fault the stay at all. Even rebooked to come back next year.

Chelston Dene is in an ideal location near a dog friendly beach. There are a variety of apartments available and the owners Anne and Steve will do all they can to help with any queries and will accommodate any requests for certain dates if you contact directly. Highly recommended

Lovely stay in the heart of Torquay
A great place to stay in Torquay. Very close to the centre and a couple of beaches, there is a supermarket nearby. The kitchen is very well equipped with an oven and a microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge and a toaster. Free parking. We would definitely come back.

It was a dual trip to get a break and also introduce my girlfriend to my family, knowing Torbay very well I was rather cautious about where I booked (be careful, you can end up paying a lot round there for very little). Steve and Anne have done, and indeed do, an amazing job, everything is very well done, clean, friendly and the outside space is beautiful. We never had a problem parking on site and Steve gave us access to a locked shed to store our bicycles. The property is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk down to the seafront and about 15 mins walk into town itself, just around the corner is a street of small shops including a wonderful little cafe with it's own mini cinema and lovely garden space. All the COVID stuff was brilliantly done, it was a very happy and comfortable stay. I would very highly recommend staying here!

One if the best apartments we've ever booked
This apartment exceeded our expectations by a long shot! Our apartment was immaculately clean almost like it was brand new and well equipped with everything you will need to cook and get by. Very conveniently located we didn't have to travel far for beaches and activities. Steve was a top host accommodating all our needs and very helpful. We cannot fault this holiday apartment and so glad we opted to stay here its a great choice! Its a 10/10 from us and would happily recommend this accommodation to everyone

It was alright
Small holiday appartment, technically has everything you need, however fold down bed, with no headboard lead to two weeks of chasing our pillows down the back of it, kitchen facilities were adequate, but no oven tray provided, no extractor so frying is an issue and the room smells like cooking constantly. No dicount given for consecutive nights even though room only cleaned once a week, and consumables not replenished, 2 tea bags, 2 instant coffees to last two weeks!! Even the toilet paper was not topped up. Only 1 key provided for 2 people. All in all it is adequate but just not great.
