“The room we were given smelled of urine, lacked proper lighting and was generally unpleasant. We were told the hotel was completely booked and no other room was available. We talked with some relatives in the area and explained the situation with the room and they extended an invitation to stay with them. “Location was easy to get to with many restaurant choices near by. Staff was very helpful at check in and check out. Room was clean and bed comfortable. This location also had good selection of breakfast choices.”

“This the third year we have stayed at this hotel while we visit relatives in the area. Very cozy, spacious rooms. Nice lounge area, swimming pool and sauna. Owner is friendly and community minded. If you like to walk, you can easily access the trails that take you toward Shell Lake from the hotel. We will definitely be back.”
