Intimate Grand Canal Penthouse Loft with Terrace

In a historic building on the Grand Canal, a stone's throw from the Rialto bridge, the Duodo is a luxurious penthouse loft equipped with every comfort.



The “water gate” allows those who want to arrive by taxi to access the building directly from the Grand Canal, while the elevator allows to access the attic with only one flight of stairs.



The “altana”, the traditional panoramic roof-top terrace, is furnished with wooden table and chairs, deckchair and awning for the hottest days. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Canal and the Palazzos that seemingly float upon it, the rooftops of Cannaregio and the monumental Cà Pesaro, the notorious Modern Art Museum right next door.



One of the highlights of the Duodo apartment is the beautiful light that flows from the many windows and the nice view over San Stae Church and Cà Pesaro. It is also laid out on about 140 square meters, plenty of room for a couple. On one side of the loft there is a cozy and romantic sleeping area equipped with a comfortable king size bed and an office corner, with a lot of closet space. On the other side of the loft there is a functional Boffi kitchen with steel top and minimalistic design, open onto a bright dining area and a spacious sitting area with plenty of comfortable sofas. The relaxing bathroom is embellished with carefully chosen materials, such as the Bisazza mosaic tiles on the walls and a warm parquet floor. There is both bathtub and shower a large cabin.



The caring owner who lives at the floor below furnished it with nice antiques and some contemporary objects, beside filling the shelfs with books of every sort. It is equipped with air conditioning, independent heating system, fast Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and much more. Quietness is guaranteed and requested at the same time. This apartment is perfect for romantic couples who wish to experience living an authentic experience guests of an historic Venetian family. Please mind that the elevator takes to the 3rd level where the entrance to the larger Owner's apartment is located, then there are about 15 steps to reach the penthouse.

Not included in the price: € 400 Security Deposit by credit card at check-in



Not included in the price: tourist tax in cash at the check in : € 4 per person per night, to be paid for the first 5 nights only, children 10-15 years of age half price, under 10 years of age free.



The total number of people cannot exceed the maximum number of people allowed at the apartment stated on our website (children also).



Please let us know how you would like your beds to be prepared (singles or doubles) or the apartment will be prepared as shown on your booking confirmation. If that is not the way you prefer your bed layout then it can be changed by our maid at your expense.



Please inform us of your arrival time no later than 7 days prior to arrival so that we can plan your check-in at the apartment. It is possible to check in from 14.00 until 20.00 and from 20.00 until maximum midnight at a 50 euro cash fee, to be paid to the person meeting you.



Please be aware that check-out time is 10.00 am.



It may be possible to bring your pet prior authorization by the owner at an extra fee of 80 euro per stay. Please, contact us to make your inquiry. Do not request this after you have booked as it will not be possible to cancel free of charge if the owner does not accept your pet.
