“Beautifully decorated little cabin close to Giant City and Blue Sky Vineyard. The hosts had a nice coffee and tea selection. We were a little disappointed that the patio outside the cabin was so small but there was a nicer large area on the other side of the cabin if you wanted to make a fire. One downside is the cabin is in front of a 3 way intersection and there was a lot of local traffic with very noisy trucks going by. “We were in town for kiddos graduation at SIU and this property is way better than a hotel. Just 25 minutes or so away from campus and a hop skip and a jump from Blue Sky winery, this hidden gem awaits you. Perfect cabin for a quiet getaway. There were a couple of dips in driveway due to erosion that made it difficult for our low clearance car to get through but we managed and owner was very helpful. Once we got to the log cabin the main entrance was easy to get into, well lit and had a cozy...

“The cabin was very clean, and I paid for some enhancements, which were delivered as promised. It’s secluded enough from the city, but not too far of a drive if you want to go into town. The only thing I would change is the bed; I wish it were bigger. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place. We pulled a bass boat with us, and it was manageable, but if you have a pontoon or a larger boat, you might struggle a bit.”

“Took a day ride to visit our daughter and wanted something other than a hotel room. I stumbled across this little cozy cabin down by Crab Orchard and loved it. Nothing super fancy but it was perfect for what we needed. The place was a bit rustic and very clean and we loved it. There were deer and a few other animal visitors that we quite enjoyed. The bed was comfy and we slept great, the location takes you out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. Would love to do it agian. ”
