“It was okay, mostly. The room was old and dated. It smelled bad; my wife said it smelled like a wet dog. The View was exceptional and I'm surprised that the listing didn't have any pictures of it, that I remember. In fact, we weren't sure what the view is going to be like even though it said Oceanside. That can sometimes be deceiving. A description of "Oceanfront" would be better. The staff did their job but that's about it. They neither greeted us when we left or came each time. We are used to...

“Expedia gives this an 8.6 but is extremely deceptive about this stay. First, I received a call from the owners prior to check in asking what time specifically I would be checking in. They clearly don't stay in the office unless needed. As soon as I arrived, the owner walked my fiancé and I to our cottage with a very brief tour and then went straight back inside his home which was right next to ours. The room itself was clean enough although the bed skirt had stains. The towels provided were...

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect; walking distance to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. It was very clean and had everything we needed as well. Jon was very communicative and easy to get in touch with. I highly recommend.”

“Unit not very clean.. windows very dirty and deck and table covered with bugs, bird poop and spider webs. Dog poop at base of stairs.. very utilitarian unit. Bed comfortable but everything else very dated. Communication with host was good and prompt. I did not communicate disappointment at time of check in but we did leave early. Refund for early check out not granted.”
