The house itself was nice, but I do want to address some issues we encountered during our stay. Outside,- the playground was missing a board up top which made it a hazard for our children, and - one of the swings as well as the foosball table was broke, so those were not usable.- The listing said “2 charcoal grills (no charcoal provided)” but we were told last minute the charcoal grill was for decoration only- there is only a propane grill- There’s a gap in the fence to where one of the neighbor’s large dogs came into our area where we had children.- The deck is uneven, unstable with need of safety repairs, and gates not closing properly, so also a hazard for children.- Inside, the water smell was so bad, by the end of our stay we all felt nauseous. Just a brief amount of water filled the room with a sewage odor, which we were warned about only the night before our check-in. - One of the cots’ sheets were dirty, and after the removal of the sheets, I found fresh pee on the mattress protector, which had seeped through to the mattress, making that mattress unusable. (They did offer to come clean it, but the mattress was going to be unusable for the night either way since it’d be wet from cleaning)**I asked the owner for a credit since the property did not reflect the price we paid. He agreed to a small amount only IF I leave a 5 star review, screenshot it to show him, then afterwards he would Zelle it to me.** I would rather write an honest review. After these issues a

The property was just what we needed in terms of space and location and worked really well for our trip. It looks just like the pictures but it’s a little hard to figure out the layout by the pictures on line. It would be great if the listing included a floor plan of each floor.

Nice river front property

We had a wonderful time. Plenty of activities available at the property, well stocked, and a fenced dock that was great since we had young children with us. Very nice home and pretty property.

Beautiful property in need of a few updates

Overall, the property and views are beautiful! If you are wanting to spend a lot of time outside or on the lake, this is the perfect house. The house (especially carpet areas) were not as clean as we would have liked. The owner did a great job communicating with us on this and had her house cleaner stop by to clean things up. If you have young kids, know the stairs are STEEP. It would have been easy for any of our kids to fall down the stairs if we weren’t holding their hand. You may want to bring your own towels/washcloths when you stay as the towels were very small and there were limited washcloths. (This may be something the owner will be working on.) Overall, there is opportunity for the property owner/maintenance crew to review the state of everything between each guest—putting stuff away, fixing stuff, making sure things are clean, etc. Attention to detail could go a long way at this property and make it super successful. A positive was the location of this property—very close to downtown.

Great place!

New owners have upgraded beyond the photos available on VRBO, including fencing around the dock, a playground in the backyard, and a pool table in the basement. Nice surprises all. It was blistering hot outside but had great fun anyway, and the house was more than accomodating. Only a few minor issues, like the smell of well water was sometimes strong, but there is nothing wrong with it and they provide cold bottled water for drinking. We'd all go again.

Lake house getaway

The property was amazing.. better than the pictures! We had a great time jumping off the dock and swimming.. also less than 10 minutes from the beach so we enjoyed that as well.

Family Wedding

We had a wonderful time at this house. Property manager was great to work with. Kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, flatware and such. It made cooking big meals easy. There is a grocery store in walking distance. Beds and linens were comfortable. A/C worked great. I would totally rent this again if I go back to Granbury. Also, Granbury is a great town. Lake is fun and boat rental is easy at the marina. Thanks again!

Graduation weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was large enough for our family get together with plenty of room for all.We really enjoyed the back porch area the most. Also our property manager was in contact with us upon arrival and was easily accessible had we needed her for anything. Thanks for the stay!

Great house but had some issues

The house was at a great location .really steep steps to get to rooms . Not enough towels in the whole house to accommodate 13 people. Plus toilet paper . The dishes were very old and some were just nasty . Had to go to Walmart to buy pots and pans to cook with we were there from Wednesday to Sunday morning. Saturday morning the water started to smell like Rotten eggs . Unfortunately nobody was able to bath that day or night. Plus didn’t really like all the little notes on walls and doors not to eat in rooms etc . Plus we had to strip all the beds and pile the sheets and comforters separately before we left . House rule . ( what they don’t have a cleaning crew … SMH )

Lovely Home

Spent the weekend of my 80th birthday at this home with family. Close to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and Dinosaur Valley State Park. No problems and everything worked out fine.

Misleading

The pictures are misleading, there are 2 sets of stairs inside the house. Basement leave access to 2 bedrooms with one bathroom and upstairs the rest of the rooms and restrooms. There is not a bedroom on the main level, but there is a half bath. There was multiple things broken that was not disclosed until we arrived, the house sleeps 17 but there was not enough utensil for everyone, only eleven forks. We ran out of toilet paper, they don’t stock enough, there was tape on doors that said no food in certain rooms and no food or drink in other, but some rooms had no tape signs. There are rock stairs leading down to the water that is not pictured. So if you want to go anywhere on the property besides the living room, dining room, kitchen or upstairs patio you have to use stairs. When we booked we were told that fireworks were OK but there is a burn ban now in the county and only for inside of the city limits of Granbury were fireworks banned. The house is outside city limits. However the homeowner told me on the first day that we could not do fireworks because the neighborhood decided to not do fireworks due to the burn ban. We complied and never did fireworks however all the neighbors on Sunday night decided to do fireworks which is kind of upsetting that they did the fireworks and we were told we couldn’t do them because the neighborhood decided not to but yet they are they are doing fireworks. She even went to the point to tell us if we did fireworks that the neighbors would call her. The outside area by the ping-pong table was very messy, everything was thrown everywhere never organized in a very neat way for a vacation home. The dock need several Repairs, there are nails sticking out, the border is falling off and the latter is just tied to the dock it’s a hardware ladder. Overall however we did have a good time, but I definitely would not rent this home again.

Great for the price. Patricia was very helpful in telling me about the property.

There was something for all ages to do. We had10 adults and 6 kids. Loved having different areas of the house to hang. Everyone really enjoyed the paddle boats. We rented a pontoon boat and had a good time on the water. Plenty of games, kids and adults loved playing ping pong and air hockey. Loved sitting out in the deck watching the sun come up and in hanging out in the evening.

Girls weekend in Granbury

First off driving up cutest house on the block. All the touches of home. Party lights welcomed us home each night on the front porch. Great communication with the owner. All essentials provided. Great location from Granbury. Quiet area. Local grocery, gas and dollar store close by. Though we didn't use any, there were many outdoor activities available at the home. Back porch coffee in the morning looking out on the lake, priceless. Grateful and blessed you shared your home with us.

Perfect Christmas

Our family (9 adults and 2 babies) enjoyed Christmas at Sunrise Court. House was perfect! Can’t ask for a more convenient location! Host was easy to contact. Will definitely visit again!

Couples Getaway

The house accomodated 5 couples very well. It was spacious enough for us all to move freely. No real issues with cleanliness. The house was well stocked, even though it didn't have an iron which we had to purchase during our stay. Access to the house was bit challenging due to the key box being difficult to get into and needing the host to assist. The grounds were beautiful. The back deck and front porch was lovely to sit and enjoy the views. We would certainly visit the house again and Granbury, we enjoyed the town.

Girls Weekend

The property is beautiful and the views from the balcony are amazing. They have cornhole, ping pong, air hockey, and access to outdoor water equipment for the lake which was all really nice. They also had charger blocks for your phone, which was also a nice touch. However the sleeping arrangement was very misleading. The trundle bed as they called it was a hospital bed with just a mattress placed below on the floor, and the pull out couch as they called it was just a pad under some couch cushions, I wouldn't call it a bed. This may work for a younger crowd that doesn't mind sleeping wherever, but for us , we had 9 people who ranged from 30 to 65 in age and it was not the most comfortable sleep. We also ran out of toilet paper and saw quite a few bugs. It did rain the day we came, so maybe that had something to do with it, I'm not sure. Overall we had a great time, I just think the sleeping arrangements were misleading.

Short Getaway at Granbury Lake

We had a wonderful time, very relaxing. The paddle boats made it possible to get on the lake and the guys caught a nice size catfish. The home was clean and well stocked, very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. Beautiful view of the lake. We will definitely book another trip to this location again.
