“Friendly staff, nice bar area with pub food. Free shuttle to casino, though rides stop at 9:45pm. Good value, reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again. Bathroom was functional, but a bit outdated. Clean and comfortable room, nice grounds.”

“We arrived at the Budget Inn a little before midnight on a Friday night. We only stayed one night on our way to the Westerly beaches. The property and the room were clean and the staff was helpful with providing directions. It’s a secluded location with not much around or much to see, but it is clean and safe. There aren’t many amenities and very little soap, shampoo, etc. We wore shoes in the shower because although the bathroom was clean, it was clearly old and well used.”

“1661 is a great hotel. It is the kind of place that is homey and calm, an escape from the fast past that can be at block. The staff is caring and very professional. The inn keeper makes each stay personable and welcoming. We have stayed here before and we will again!”

“The TV was broken, the whirlpool hardly even work on a lot of that was coming out of the Jets was ice cold, it was a waste of my money”

“stayed here before. family owned business who seem to work very hard. not an extremely fancy place to stay but maintained and shows responsible ownership. we have been pleased with our stays there--we have a room we liked and the ownership had accomodated our request. added interest when at the hotel---backs up to golf course and sitting on the deck with golf is a nice later afternoon time. we're gong back.”

“The room was spacious however the hotel feels like you went back in time to the 1970s. There were holes in the curtains and lampshades. There were water stains on the ceiling. We asked for towels and were told we had to come downstairs to get it because front counter person is also one who gives you towels.”

“Comfortable place to stay. Issue with the room was handled, however, with initial hesitation by staff. Breakfast was ok, however, for the price it is not a great value.”

“On the plus side, everything worked in the room (fridge, tv, microwave, lights and ac).Also, looked like it had new very basic furniture and bedding looked clean. The main problem was a stale smell which was worse if the ac was turned up. And the room really needed a thorough cleaning as the walls and doors had visible what I would call smudge marks in quite a few places which made it look generally not very clean. All in all it was ok for a couple of nights.”
