    Die Alte Burg strahlt über dem Ort Hermanstein. Lee hat alles zum Besten verändert und bietet seinen Gästen, wir waren hoch oben im Rittersaal, ein atemberaubendes Ambiente.Wer Games of Thrones kennt und liebt fühlt sich in diese Zeit versetzt. Wir saßen Abends bei Kerzenschein gegenüber des großen Kamins und spielten Karten. Wein und Bier war unser Gefährte und es war unbeschreiblich schön uns vorzustellen wie es vor 400 Jahren wohl gewesen sein könnte.Die Aussicht der großen Fenster bei Tag und Nacht war super. Der Zugang durch die Alte Stein-Wendeltreppe ist nichts für Koffer. Ein Rucksack ist empfehlenswert. Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein.Der Frühstücksraum mit all seinen antiken Schätzen aus aller Welt lädt zum verweilen ein.Vielen Dank für alles!!! So ein tolles Erlebnis. Sollte niemand missen der in der Gehend übernachten muss. Es ist ein einmaliges Geschenk so etwas erleben zu dürfen!

    Wir haben anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstags eine Nacht in dieser wunderschönen, privaten Burg verbracht und waren begeistert! Der Burgherr hat die Burg in den letzten Jahren mit viel Liebe zum Detail saniert. Unser Zimmer, der sogenannte Rittersaal, ist ein echtes Highlight: sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit einem großen Kamin und stilvollen Möbeln, die perfekt zum historischen Ambiente passen.Der Aufstieg zum Zimmer erfolgt über eine lange, enge Turmtreppe.Für uns war der Aufenthalt ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis. Wir danken dem Gastgeber herzlich für die Möglichkeit, einen so schönen und einzigartigen Ort besuchen zu dürfen.

    Enchanting

    This was by far the most unique and cool place I’ve ever stayed. The room we booked was for large groups and it was the entire tower you see in the picture. There are a lot of stairs and it is a stone spiral staircase. Smaller rooms are also available in the other part of the castle but I did not see them because there was another guest. The owner is the one doing the renovation and it’s not completely finished yet but the rooms that he has finished are stunning. Looks and feels like a medieval castle. Germany has rules about modern luxuries when restoring castles so some things like the shower and toilet are unique but completely functional. The hosts were extremely helpful answering questions about the town and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great both days and they had it ready early since we told them we had an early morning train to catch. Downtown is very walkable and old town is definitely worth the trip. So many quaint Biergartens. Simply an amazing find.

    Mittelalter trifft Gewohnheit

    Der Rittersal versetzt einen wirklich in die damalige Zeit zurück.Jeder der Burgen und diese Epoche mag wird diese Übernachtungsmöglichkeit lieben!Viele tolle Dingen kann man in der Burg entdecken.Kühlschrank, Toaster, Wasserkocher vorhanden.Dusche/Toilette sauber.Schlafmöglichkeit war für uns super!Frühstück Top!Dennoch sollte man sich im klaren sein, dass es seine Burg ist!

    Awesome castle!

    We loved this castle! It was rustic and fun and we had a wonderful time. Lee was an amazing host and if we ever get the chance to go back, we would definitely visit again!

    Love this castle

    What a beautiful place to stay. The castle is authentic but extremely comfortable and cozy. The views were amazing, beds comfortable, everything was clean and cozy. We recommend this stay 100% The complementary breakfast was amazing! She cooked and served us at a beautiful table.
