“I travel cross country and need a hotel with a full fridge. This is newly renovated. So it was in excellent condition and very clean. The only thing, the walls are thin. But it was cheap. It works for me. Clean and full fridge.”

“Sammy really stood out!! Our cat was not enjoying the cross country move, and we awoke in the morning to him having totally disappeared. We scoured the room to no avail. I went down to the desk, and he instantly knew the look on my face. When i said cat, he said "oh yeah under the sink there's a spot cats will jump onto that's totally hidden. Happens all the time." He was right!! Crisis averted, cat secured, emotional breakdown cancelled. :D the hotel is close to the interstate, but still out...

“Effingham is my typical stop when I travel for work. I used to stay at the LaQuinta across the street from this hotel, but it has really become ragged and worn down over the last two years. This hotel is much newer and their housekeeping team is doing a great job. Every time I stay here, my room is very clean, as is the lobby, parking lot, etc. The little details matter and they are on top of things. I appreciate that and will continue to be a regular customer.”

“As opposed to another BW I just reviewed, this one was was actually pretty nice. The room and the bathroom were both pretty clean, for a "dog room". Decent breakfast and clean facilities. The young lady who checked us in was top notch. I would stay again. ”

“Superb service and assistance from the entire team during the threat of an imminent tornado! The staff was fabulous in checking in guests who were seeking shelter during the threat of a tornado as well as meeting their needs. They remained calm, collected, kind and caring throughout the evening! I was most impressed that they had two rooms available for shelter in the event that the tornado was spotted in the vicinity!”

“You can kind of tell from the musty walls and name brand "Jaccuzi" tub in the bathroom that this Days Inn in Effington was once a nice motel. Now, in 2025, it's an $80 place to get 8 hours of sleep before getting back on the road. Hot Tip: Their system will say it can't charge your credit card for the $100 deposit, even if you have money. This is so they can get you to leave a cash deposit, where their receipt sheet said they have accepted as little as $26 deposit for the night. Make sure to get...

“It worked for a 6 hour stay just to get some sleep. A lamp didn’t work in my room, but honestly my biggest complaint was this automatic check in terminal. It felt unprofessional to not have a person there physically. Sure there was a person on the screen, but i couldn’t understand what she was saying due to the low volume and incredibly loud ice machine next to the kiosk.
