“Location & appearance stunning. Interior decoration was period and sympathetic for the age of the property. Staff were polite well dressed & at tentative to your needs. Spa was well appointed, only slight drawback was you need to get the lift up to the spa which unfortunately was out of order, so needed to walk the stairs to reach it. If you ask at the main hall bar/dinning area you can even have a small tour under the premises to the wine cellar & rooms. We look forward to visiting again.”

“The room was very nice, large flatscreen TV, nice little porch seating area in front of my room. I did not use the pool, but it is heated. There is a train line that goes by that you can hear, but it did not bother me. In addition to a free continental breakfast, they will make to order breakfast, depending on the time for a charge. I had two very minor issues but they were resolved quickly. I would highly recommend this property.”

“Chris the owner always makes you feel welcome. Dining in the pub is always a tasty experience, as is the selection of ales on the bar. Rooms are tasteful in good shape, and comfortable. Parking is easy, great value for money ”

“Lovely place and very welcoming team. Refreshing change to a chain. Room was comfortable, a little rundown in places. Clean but maybe hadn't been used for a while. Would definitely go again and this time get a meal as planned. Thank you. ”

“Sono stata in hotel per una notte, premetto che non conosco l'inglese... La zona non sarà delle migliori, ma è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi dalla stazione... Io l'ho fatto da sola di notte e senza problemi. L'hotel non è sicuramente quello che si può descrivere con un "wow", ma era molto pulito. In camera c'erano ventilatore, stufa, scalda acqua e microonde, oltre ovviamente alla tv. Per quel che mi serviva, ossia dormire una notte, era più che perfetta! Il mio encomio va al proprietario,...

“From check in to check out we had a wonderful stay. All staff from room servicing, meals and front of house were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and diner were plentiful, tasty and well presented. Parking was good. Even though we didn't want our room serviced, we received a bag of amenities. Excellent service. Our room was comfortable and excellently presented. ”

“Comfy bed, nice strong shower, bath was large enough for me (6ft 5) sofa in the room next to skme windows, perfect for relaxing with a book”
