“This property was super nice, and is a hidden gem. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is to leave room for improvement. I think that, given a little amount of effort and focus on concierge level service, this property could become a real resort type experience. Get a little creative and watch the rooms fill up. We were so impressed and will be back!”

Stink bugs in the room. I have pictures. When the owner was told (right after check in) she called me a liar, and proceeded to tell me that I brought mouse poop with me. She would put me in another room but as I did not feel comfortable so she told me I was “crazy! And would not get my money back.” I then had to...

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”
