“The property is an updated 70's style motel - good intentions but not really hitting the mark, especially for the price we paid. The makeover still leaves the old structure underneath. My biggest complaint is that the room was musty and had a moldy smell, which made it uncomfortable. The staff was fine; the outdoor seating area was cute. The food was okay. The restaurant advertised itself as more refined than it actually was. There weren't really any amenities other than the restaurant.”

“There was no Hot Water for washing or showers. I talked to the staff and they said it would be fixed right away, it never was. It’s hard totakeacold shower after a hot day touring. The place was being remodeled. I think it should have been closed. The muddy parking area was hard on your shoes. Only one elevator was operable. We waited 10 minutes to get down from the 8th floor. It was scary if there was an emergency it would have been a disaster. Not Good!!”

“Okay place to spend a night but don’t expect any service. This place uses remote “staff” to run the joint. I called the “desk” around 6:30 pm with a request. Got a call back around noon the next day, when we were well on our way. No soaps, no shower cap. Only plus was an urn of good coffee in the otherwise empty lobby. Not much for $160 or so.”

“My husband and in laws each rented a cabin for a weekend. The property is beautiful, amenities are impressive, and the food is excellent! We enjoyed spending time by the pool reading (excellent book selection in the lobby,) relaxing in the dry saunas, kayaking on the lake, Sunday yoga and the peace of the guided evening float. “I had not visited the Ponds for 30 years. It has not gracefully aged. Condo unit has not been updated since it was built in the early 70s and it shows.
